Administrators of the Chapala Vocational School have announced that it will suspend the manufacture of license plates for the Municipality of Panama as of July, citing the city's delay in cementing a contract with the school and failing to pay for nearly $1 million in plates.

The Directorate General of Revenue found evidence last November that the companies administering the corredores Norte and Sur, Pycsa and Ica, have not paid all their taxes they owe.
Sources revealed that audits conducted at these companies and their subsidiaries showed that more than $9 million was owed in back taxes, with Ica having failed to pay $2 million while Pycsa owed more than $7 million.
