Laura Bush wraps up Panama visit

U.S. First Lady Laura Bush and her Panamanian counterpart Vivian Fernández de Torrijos signed an agreement yesterday that calls for Panama to be included in the Partnership of the Americas for Awareness and Research on Breast Cancer.
Panama joins Mexico, Brazil and Costa Rica in the program, which is organized by the U.S. State Department.
Bush was in Panama for a two-day visit, which ended today. In addition to signing the agreement, she also met with met with President Martín Torrijos and toured a treatment facility at the National Cancer Institute, where she talked with breast cancer patients.
