Robbers at estrella azul make off with $25,000

Thieves stole $25,000 in cash from Estrella Azul’s administrative offices on Avenida Federico Boyd in Colón.

With apparent planning, the robbers arrived at the offices just as the cashier was counting the money. They assaulted the cashier and two security officers before taking off with the cash.

The thieves are still on the loose. Police are investigating the incident.

Estrella Azul leads the country’s dairy industry and also manufactures a variety of fruit juices.
