Woman killed, 2 others hurt in assault

A woman was killed and her husband and child were injured in an attack by two gunmen Sunday night at their home in the San Miguelito neighborhood of San Antonio.

Maryoris Madrid, 32, died after being shot twice in the chest. Her daughter, Margue González, 10, is hospitalized in stable condition after also being shot in the chest. Roberto Gibson, 31, who is Madrid's husband and the child's stepfather, was shot in the buttocks and has since been released from the hospital.

Police said that Gibson's mother suffered a fatal heart attack after being told of the shooting. Police have not yet identified any suspects or a motive for the attack, but one theory is that the family was a victim of mistaken identity.
