After a lengthy delay, the commission that will debate the proposed changes to the country's public school curriculum will finally get to work.
Universidad de Panamá Rector Gustavo García de Paredes said that commission, which is composed of educators, community leaders and government officials, will meet this week.
On April 24, the Ministerio de Educación handed the proposed changes to the curriculum over to the commission, which was supposed to begin debating them. But those meetings were delayed when the minister resigned.
Now that Salvador Rodríguez has been named as the new minister, the commission will finally begin its review.
