Administrative staff at CSS continue protesting

Administrative workers at the Caja del Seguro Social in the province of Colón announced yesterday that they will continue their two-week protest until they have received a satisfactory response from authorities regarding their demands to be relocated to different offices while their new building is under construction.

Anayansi Vega de Tenorio, leader of the Asociación de Funcionarios Administrativos de la Caja del Seguro Social (CSS) in Colón, said that the picketing will continue until the CSS's director, René Luciani, meets with them personally and complies with an agreement reached during their 2006 strike.

Vega de Tenorio said that the workers' current location, in the Plaza Millenion, is "uncomfortable" because it has limited space to work and is difficult for people to get to.
