Carnaval complaints common

Although Carnaval won’t start for another day, there are already numerous complaints coming from people living near the parade route.

Bethania resident Edilma Carrera said that she has never received a pass promised to her by the government that will allow her to get back and forth from her home.

"Where is my pass? I still have not received anything," said an angry Carrera.

She said that it wasn't until Tuesday that police officers came to her neighborhood to collect the names of the residents who are supposed to receive their passes, Carrera said.

"How am I going to work with all the roads closed," asked Reyes Aparicio, who lives on Calle Tercera in Vista Hermosa.

On Calle 64 in the neighborhood of Los Ángeles, workers closed the street to install scaffolding for the upcoming events. That had people who work in the area wondering how they will get to and from their jobs from now until Carnaval comes to an end next week.
