Travellers will see improvements at airports

The Autoridad Aeronáutica Civil (AAC) has earmarked $4,575,000 for the construction, repair, and maintenance of airports in 2008, said Gregorio Montecer, an advisor for the AAC. Of that amount, he said, $4,325,000 will be allocated for construction and improvements, while the rest, $250,000, will be used to maintain green areas around the terminals. Many improvements will be made to the Marcos A. Gelabert airport in Albrook, including repairing the runway and remodelling the passenger terminal with air conditioning and other amenities.
