Businessman shot and killed during robbery

The vice president of the Cámara de Comercio in Colón, Eduardo Cattán, was killed after he was shot at his business yesterday during a robbery.

Cattán, 72, was at his textile warehouse at around 2 p.m. when two robbers burst in. He was shot once during a struggle.

He died at Hospital Manuel Amador Guerrero.

While no arrests have been made, police think the robbers may have been minors.

This is the latest serious crime involving minors. Police are looking at ways to curb such violence.
